Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama has revealed he joined Hearts of Oak in order to enhance his opportunities at international level.
The 34-year-pld has signed a two-year contract to join the Phobians as a free agent.
Soulama was released by Asante Kotoko this off-season.
The ex ASFA Yennega shot-stopper was left to find himself a club quickly of he was to continue his international career with Burkina Faso.
He thus grabbed the opportunity with both hands when the chance to join Hearts emerged.
Soulama explains his unflinching appetite to keep playing for the national team was the foremost reason he joined Hearts.
“I am a national team goalkeeper for Burkina Faso and therefore I can't be sitting on the bench,” he said.
“The move was for my career to also help me continue with my national team.”
