BK Hacken attacker Nasiru Mohammed was voted the best Ghanaian Player Abroad Of The Week by the GHANAsoccernet and Ghana Television Sports Plus Top11 panel following his hat-trick heroics in the Swedish Allsvenskan over the weekend.
The 2011 captain of Ghana's U17 side (the Black Starlets) netted an incredible hat-trick for BK Hacken as they outfoxed Brommapojkarna 5-1 at the Grimsta IP – their own backyard.
Nasiru, 20, gave the hosts defence a lesson in resilience when he scored the opened under 12 minutes, caused them to concede a penalty before scoring again in the 64th minute and again reminding them of his exalting and majestic brilliance in second-half stoppage-time finish.
The panel on the show including writer Rahman Osman and Player Abroad anchor Akyereko Frimpong Manson with host Benjamin Willie Graham unanimously settled on the former Rainbow FC starlet for the award.
From his base in Sweden, Nasiru expressed his delight over his award.
“I'm really happy I won the award and I feel really happy for it. I hope I win it again,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively.
The Show is at 19:00 GMT Prompt every Sunday night on Ghana's No. 1 Digital Terrestrial Television – GTV SportsPlus.
