Ghanaian youth star Divine Naah played his debut competition career league game on Saturday by making a late appearance for Stromsgodset in their 4-0 thrashing of Bodø / Glimt in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
The 18-year-old climbed off the bench to replace Norwegian youngster Iver Fossum in the 87th minute at the Aspmyra Stadion and played just a cameo role in the game as the Eliteserien title-holders had already killed off the game.
Naah, a former Manchester City triallist and graduate from Ghana's Right to Dream Academy, joined Stromsgodset in the summer transfer and had to wait until Saturday to play his first professional game.
His arrival at the club restores the number of Ghanaian players to four after joining Ghana keeper Adam Kwarasey, midfielder Mohammed Abu and Manchester City loanee Nana Boateng.
When Stromsgodset manager David Nielsen decided to hand Naah his debut, it also signalled a good news for Ghana as four Ghanaian players were on the pitch for Stromsgodset in the game.
