Governor Godswill Akpabio's vision for steady power supply for quality of life enhancement and sustainable development is being felt increasingly across Akwa Ibom state. Recently, Power supply was restored to the General Hospital Okoroette in Eastern Obolo LGA after almost a year.

The Hospital Secretary, Nse King reported to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Power that "the hospital had remained in darkness due to lack of public power supply" and pleaded for government intervention.

In response the Deputy Director in the office of the SSA on Power, Engr. Anietie Orok was directed to collaborate with power sector stakeholders until the problem was resolved. Power supply has since been restored to the Hospital.

The Hospital Secretary, Nse King stated that "the timely intervention of the government to restore power supply to the Hospital is a compliment to the good work of our promise keeper, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio"

Another staff of the General Hospital Mr. Edward Osoiba added that "the hospital is fully equipped with all modern facilities courtesy of our amiable digital Governor and it operates 24hrs so we appreciate the office of the SSA on Power for timely intervention that restored power supply, this will enable effective operation of the Hospital"
