
Ghana defender Kwabena Adusei's penalty downed Ethiopia by a goal to nil and sealed a place for the local Black Stars in the quarter finals stage of the on going CHAN tournament.
Adusei scored the only goal of the match when striker Seidu Bancey was brought down in the Ethiopian's penalty box in the 76th minute of play.
After the game captain Jordan Opoku was awarded the best player for his outstanding performance in the hard fought victory.
He becomes the third Ghanaian player to have been awarded for their performances in all three group matches.
Theophilus Anobaah and Yahaya Mohammed were the previous winners of the top award.
