Ghanaian striker Abdul Basit Adam is making waves in the Absa Premier Soccer League after his solitary goal gave Free State Stars a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows.
The 18-year-old is proving to be a great signing for Ea Lla Koto and coach Steve Komphela.
Basit is now the second joint top scorer in the South African top-flight with three goals from five league matches.
He is tied in second place with Bernard Parker of Kaizer Chiefs.
Edward Manquale of Moroka Swallows tops the chart with four goals.
Adam is expected to build on his early season form in their next league match against Ajax Cape Town on the 23 October.
He was signed from Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United during the transfer window.
