RTU bow out with a heavy loss in final home game

By Ghana FA

Relegation-bound Real Tamale United failed to bow out gracefully after they lost their final home game in the Glo Premier League 5-1 to Heart of Lions.

The Tamale side have remained winless right from match-day-1 of the season to the penultimate fixture as they conceded their 70th goal in the 2012-13 Premier League campaign.

Despite RTU's poor form, it was Heart of Lions' Bernard Morrison who did the most damage, scoring four goals as Prince Acquah also netted a goal for the visitors.

RTU got their consolation through Mohammed Sani.
Though Lions were worthy of their victory, they need one point to ensure safety as the third relegation spot goes to the wire.
