Adomah loving the Afcon but feeling no pressure

Albert Adomah is happy with his performance in his Africa Cup of Nations debut and equally pleased with Ghana's improving form at the finals.

The Bristol City winger is one of the ten players in the Black Stars squad making their tournament debut at the 2013 Afcon.

With two starts so far for Ghana in the Group B campaign, Adomah, is looking ahead to the next game at the tournament.

“This is my first major tournament for the Black Stars and I think I am pleased with my performance,” Adomah said.

“I think the team is doing well at the moment. We haven't been defeated, we won one and drew one and hopefully we can take it to the next game.”

The Nations Cup comes with some expectation for coaches, teams and players.

The Black Stars settled for a 2-2 draw in their opening group game in Port Elizabeth against DR Congo, but since then have calmly dealt with the expectation after beating Mali 1-0 on Thursday to jump top in the group.

But for Adomah, who is making his debut, he feels no such thing as the Black Stars try to progress from their group with a final group match against Niger on Monday.

“I don't think I am under any pressure to perform and I think the coach believes in me and that's the reason why I am here.

“I don't feel no pressure,” he said.
