Muslims in Tema celebrate Eid-Ul Fitr

Tema, Aug 19, GNA - Hundreds of Muslims in the Tema Metropolis on Sunday, gathered at the Tema Sports Stadium to give thanks to Allah at the end of the Eid-Ul Fitr celebration.

Most of the celebrants who were clad in white to signify the success of the fasting period thanked Allah for his protection during the Ramadan period.

Alhaji Adams Abubakar, Tema Metropolitan Chief Imam, who led the open air prayers thanked and praised Allah for seeing them through the period.

He called on leaders in the country irrespective of their religious background to ensure that Ghanaians enjoy peace and harmony.

Mr Robert Kempes Ofosuware, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, thanked the Muslim community for their support during the funeral of the late President and wished them a successful celebration.
