R.T.U and Unity go head-to-head for premiership slot

The final day clashes in the Division One League play-offs will determine which two sides qualify to to the Premier League.

Former premiership side, Real Tamale United and Unity F.C. will go head-to-head in Kumasi for the sole ticket from Zone I after both sides won their second straight matches on Sunday.

Unity F.C moved to the summit of the Zone I table - via goal advantage over R.T.U. - after a 4-1 win over Bazooka F.C.

A brace each from Joshua Akoto and Emmanuel Gyamfi secured Unity the win as Iddrisu Salifu grabbed a consolation for Bazooka.

In Bekwai, R.T.U also continued their fine form with a 3-1 victory against Bofokwa Tano. Abdulai Karim, Emmanuel Kwamena and Yusif Aziz were on the mark for R.T.U while Inusah scored Bofoakwa's only goal.

Also in Zone III, the race will go down to the wire after Instanbul and Amidaus picked up valuable wins to stay in competition for the sole slot alongside King Solomon.

Thomas Avorgbedor scored a brace to handed Instanbul a 2-0 win against King Solomon at the Tema Stadium.

Joseph Quansah's goal from a freekick ensured that Amidaus posted a narrow 1-0 win over Danbort F.C in Cape Coast. Danbort's promotion hopes have been ended after picking two defeats in a row.

The winners after three rounds of matches from every group make it to the topflight league.
