The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II would watch Friday's FIFA World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Lesotho at the Baba Yara Stadium.
A keen sports fan, Otumfuo has been an ardent admirer of the Black Stars and had on a number of occasions moved out of the comfort of his Manhyia Palace to watch them play in Kumasi.
A source close to the Ashanti Regional Minister, told the Graphic Sports that the minister, Dr Kwaku Agyemang Mensah, would join the Asantehene at Manhyia on Friday and together they would move to the Stadium to watch the match in the evening.
The presence of the Asantehene, according to the source was to further inspire the team to win massively.
Meanwhile, the match fever was catching up with the people of Kumasi. and a capacity crowd could witness the game.
The team was playing a training match at the stadium at the time of going to press.
