Medeama's Louis Agyeman (2-L) scores the second goal for his side while Liberty's Daniel Adjei and some fo his teammates look on Liberty Professionals surrendered a two- goal lead to allow Medeama SC to hold them to a 2-2 draw at the Carl Reindorf Park , Dansoman Sunday.
But the hero of the day was Louis Agyemang who soared above everybody to beat Daniel Agyei with a powerful header on the 83rd minute to burst the bubble of Liberty who missed several chances on the day.
It took only three minutes from the start of the game fo Kennedy Ashia to put Liberty in front and six minutes later the fans went agog again when Latif Salifu latched onto a Yakubu Issah’s through pass to bury the ball into the net.
But Liberty became complacent after the second goal and allowed Medeama to claw one back on the 36th minute through Theophilus Anobah.
The visitors returned the stronger side in the second half with Agyemang and Hans Kwofie combining effectively to pose problems for the Liberty defence as hardworking Richard Mpong incisive passes pushed them forward.
And it came as little wonder when a free-kick taken at the edge of the penalty box found Agyemang who headed it home for the equalizer.
