Accra, May 10, GNA – Professor Robert Hinson, Head of Department of the Marketing and Customer Management (M & CM), University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) will be the Special Guest of Honour at the 4th Accra Biennial Sports Expo, scheduled for 15-18 May at the Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons, Accra.
He will also deliver the Keynote address and will also open the four-day Exposition, under the theme: 'Promoting Africa's Sports Talents Globally: Role of Sports Business'.
Prof. Hinson whose current areas of research are services management, e-business, SME Marketing practices and corporate social responsibility in developing economy contexts, has worked as a branding, service and marketing advisor to over three dozen financial service institutions, including Bank of Africa, Standard Chartered Bank, HFC Bank, CAL Bank, Merchant Bank, NIB Bank and Ecobank.
He also sits on the Board of StarLife Company Limited, the steering committee of the Business Sector Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) Fund in Ghana and also chairs the Board of Telemedia Communications.
RICS Consult, Ghana's foremost sports business consultancy firm is organizing the programme which will focus on ways of leveraging all facets of sports business principles and practices to develop and globally promote Africa's Sports Talents.
The Expo Conference will also seek to reach consensus on a designed road map to assist African nations; governments, sports policy makers, administrators and performers re-think sports as an emerging industry with all its attendant benefits to grow African economies.
