Near misses, comedy of errors and inexperience denied Hearts of Oak all three points to bridge the gap between them and leaders Kotoko when they hosted Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Stadium yesterday.
Hearts came close to scoring on numerous occasions but failed in all attempts in their 0-0 drawn game.
Coach C.K. Akunnor reshuffled his cards to bring on Douglas Nkrumah when the attack appeared dormant in the second half which paid off but the visitor's goalkeeper Ernest Boateng's interventions were timely.
Boateng managed to parry three goal bound strikes to safety on an afternoon which saw a sparse expectant Hearts fans boo at referee Charles Nii Tagoe for most of his decisions, especially after the break.
