Accra, Sept. 23, GNA - The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) have named a provisional 12-member team for the 19th Commonwealth Games slated for India from October 3 to October 14, 2010.
The team made up of six men and six women were selected after series of championships organised by the Association during the year.
A highly placed source at the GTTA Secretariat told GNA Sports that the team are currently fine-tuning their preparations towards the Games.
The men include Derek Abrefa, Eric Ofori, Felix Lartey, Bernard Sam, Joseph Osei and Raymond Donkor.
The women are Akosua Ketu, Bernice Borquaye, Afua Oforiwah, Beatrice Gyasi, Cecilia Baah and Linda Nkansah.
The team will be accompanied by coaches Anthony Owusu Ansah and Emmanuel Yartey Yarboi.
Table Tennis is one of the six disciplines that the Ghana team will be participating at the forthcoming event.
The rest are Badminton, Athletics, Paralympics, Boxing and Weightlifting.
