Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari, has charged radio stations, especially sports presenters to stop playing his mother's voice as a jingle for their sports shows and programmes.
According to him, the jingle 'Hajia Kandey' has painted her mother so negative and was making her popular in an unhealthy manner.
He however apologised to Ghanaians for his mother's comments on some Accra-based radio stations when she reacted to an issue involving him [Muntari] and the Black Stars some years back.
He explained that his mother's comments were a result of fabricated stories that were being peddled against him at the time, adding that his mother reacted in a way that "any caring mother would do to defend her son".
He was speaking in an interview with ace Sports Journalist, Charles Osei Asibey, on Happy FM's morning show (Anopa Bosuo).
The Inter Milan midfielder pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive his mother and "let sleeping dogs lie".
"I feel really really bad, I mean really really bad when it is played on air. That's not good. We should not be joking with such issues at all".
