Journalist insists Laryea's confrontation with Milo took place

The Editor of Sports Filla newspaper has maintained he stands by his story that Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston actually engaged Coach Milovan Rajevac in a verbal assault over his exclusion from the final list of players for the South Africa 2010 World Cup tournament.

Mr. Yaw Anamang claims officials of the Ghana Football Association are trying to cover up the issue since the incident actually took place.

According to Yaw Anamang, the incident happened but perhaps at the blind side of the FA officials who 'unfortunately, are rubbishing the story'.

Speaking on Asempa FM's afternoon sports show “Fire for Fire” programme, Mr. Anamang wondered 'how on earth will people fabricate a story like that if the incident did not take place'.

The Ghana Football Association President, Kwasi Nyantakyi had earlier rubbished reports concerning Laryea Kingston's supposed verbal assault on Black Stars' Coach Milovan Rajevac, after he was dropped from the final 23-man squad for the South Africa 2010 World Cup.

Speaking on Asempa FM's sports morning show, Mr. Nyantakyi said that nothing of that sort happened in the room when the news was broken to the player.

He however said he was not in a position to say if the player later on attacked the coach verbally.

Mr. Nyantakyi said even though he does not agree with the Coach entirely on the selection, he believes Mr. Rajevac must be allowed to do his work without any interference from whatever circles.

However, Yaw Anamang is calling on the two parties involved to come clear on the issue, in order to get to the bottom of the matter.
