The Ghana Football Association has denied reports that it is stalling the nationality switch of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Adam Kwarasey.
A BBC online publication quoted a FIFA spokesperson who blamed the Ghana FA for failing to provide documents to back the applications of the duo.
Ghana Football Association Vice-President Fred Pappoe has rubbished such reports and stated their desire to have both players realize their dream of playing for the Black Stars.
"We started this process about six months ago and have sent every document that FIFA has asked for. If there is anything we have not done then FIFA has not communicated that to us. So (for FIFA) to create the impression of an incompetent body is mostly unfair," Pappoe told the GFA's official website.
"We have been in regular touch with Kevin and he understands we want this to happen. The coach, Rajevac is keen on him and we were the ones who initiated this process. We have sent letters from the German FA stating they have no objection to the switch to FIFA and have asked for documents relating to his mother's nationality even though it has no bearing on the outcome of the ruling."
Boateng, 23, who plays for Portsmouth, chose to play for the Black Stars ahead of Germany, the country of his birth.
His father is a Ghanaian but the midfielder played for the German youth national teams before deciding to represent the Black Stars. His uncle Robert played for Ghana in the 1990s.
Kwarasey, whose father hails from Navrongo in the Upper East region of Ghana, was born in Norway and plays for Stromgodset.
The highly rated youngster is hoping that his height of 6ft 4inches, will gain him a place in Ghana's squad for future matches.
