Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah will undergo surgery on Thursday at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after breaking his leg during last Sunday's Glo Premier League tie against Hearts of Oak.
The left-back suffered a completed close fracture his left tibia and fibula and has been admitted at the emergency unit awaiting surgery.
Baah, 20, will begin light training in the next eight months and should be passed fit for competitive football after clinical assessments have be done.
He was carried off the pitch in the opening ten minutes when he sustained the injury from a savage tackle
