AUSTRALIA SPIED on Ghana during the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations held in Angola, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS has gathered.

Australia are Ghana's group opponents in the South Africa FIFA World Cup, which commences in June this year.

The other group members are three-time World Champions Germany and Serbia.

The paper learnt that the Australian football authorities engaged the services of local Angolan side Petro Athletico to monitor the Ghana team and furnish them with technical information about the side.

This was geared toward helping them map out effective strategies to beat the Black Stars when the two sides meet at the World Cup.

Australian officials, according to information reaching this paper, at the last minute cancelled plans to visit Angola to spy on the Ghana team, following the deadly attack on the Togolese national team in Cabinda. From I.F. Joe Awuah Jnr., Kumasi
