THIRTY FIFA referees from across the globe, including Africa, would officiate the 2010 South Africa World Cup billed to commence in June.
A source who disclosed this to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS said FIFA pruned the number of referees to 30.
Sadly, he noted, no Ghanaian referee was penciled among those that would be at the centre of matches at the fiesta.
However, he disclosed that Ghanaian national, Haruna Ayuba, is among the 101 assistant referees short-listed for the tournament.
The selected officials will participate in a training seminar next month.
