Two of Ghana's African Nations Cup squad members were on target as they returned to club duties in Europe after their month-long participation in the continental competition hosted by Angola.

Asamoah Gyan and Matthew Amoah found target in the French and Dutch leagues while Isaac Vorsah and Kwadwo Asamoah played key roles in their team's league success over the weekend.

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Amoah rediscovered his scoring touch as he came off the bench to help NAC Breda beat Willem II Tilburg 2-1 away.

Amoah, who failed to score during the Nations Cup secured the winner for Breda to send his goal tally to seven this term.

For Asamoah Gyan, it was business as usual as he continued his fine scoring form by helping Rennes defeat leaders Bordeaux 4-2 in the weekend's top liner in France.

The Ghana striker scored the decisive goal after coming off the bench to hit his ninth Lique 1 goal.

Kwadwo Asamoah was on hand to help Udinese beat Napoli 3-1 in the Italian Serie A before he was substituted with eight minutes to go.

Still in Italy, Sulley Muntari came off the bench in Inter Milan's 3-0 win over Cagliari.

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie played his second game for struggling Portsmouth in the English Premiership as Avram Grant's side were thrashed 5-0 by Manchester United on a day when the Pompey side conceded three own goals.

Kelvin Prince-Boateng, who is awaiting the finalization of his nationality switch to Ghana, was sent on in the second half before Quincy's introduction.

Isaac Vorsah was a second half substitute for TSG Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga as they won 2-1 against Hannover on Saturday. Prince Tagoe was an unused substitute.
