Ghana youth international striker Sadick Adams has joined Serbian giants Vojvodina Novi Sad from Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid.
The 20-year-old was axed by Atletico after he failed to make an impression at the club since joining them in a controversial move in 2007.
Adams signed a four-year contract with Vojvodina and he will begin his deal this week in a bid to revive his flagging career.
The highly-talented striker failed to realise his potential at Atletico because of a ban imposed by Fifa for registering for two clubs.
But after severing ties with his Nigerian agent who led him to break his contract with Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel which led to ban, Adams has a fresh chance to realise his potential with Vojvodina, who are regular campaigners in European club competition.
Ghanasoccernet investigations in Serbia have revealed that Adams has impressed in his first days of training at the club.
While it is a good opportunity for Adams to revive his career, experts of Serbian football have warned him to be wary of the good night life in the city of Novi Sad.
A four month ban from FIFA meant he could not participate in the U20 world cup that took place between September and October 2009.
In his absence, the Black Satellites of Ghana won the trophy whilst his replacement Dominic Adiyiah ended up as goal king and player of the tournament.
Adams scored 4 goals in 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup for the Ghana U17 team, including a goal in their 1–2 semi-final loss to Spain.
