Liberty drown floating XI Wise
November 22, 2009
Wise who required a win to lift themselves from the foot of the 16-team League table, began the game well and gave Liberty a fight that ensured there was very little to choose between the two sides until the host struck on the stroke of half time.
In-between play, it was Kofi Owusu who should have sent the host in front but he messed up the glaring opportunity that turned Alhassan into a hero.
The goal demoralised Wise who were lucky to travel back to Sekondi with two goals disadvantage after a porous second half performance.
