Gyan believes in Ghana's quality

Striker Asamoah Gyan doesn't expect Ghana to run out of steam with three more matches to go in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana, Group D pacesetters, with 9 points will host Sudan in Accra on Sunday in the fourth group qualifier having recorded three impressive wins and yet to concede a goal.

Despite having played one game in the 2010 qualifiers due to injury, Gyan, who returns to the Black Stars says the quality of Ghana's team is a plus but demands that they play to their strengths to ensure a win against the Nile Crocodiles.

“With the quality of players we have we should be able to get three points but we should be careful about assuming that it is won even before we play. If we play to our strengths, show them respect and do what we do best, the three points will be ours.”

With his colleagues having set some high standards in his absence, Asamoah Gyan hopes to play a part in Ghana's qualification quest after an impressive start to the season with club Rennes but insists, there will be “no pressure on any player to prove anything”.

“I am ready for the game,” the Ghana striker said.

“When I look at my game I can see I am getting my best form back because two goals in four games is a good return. I am fully fit so I can play for 90 minutes but it is up to the coach.”

Ghana won the corresponding fixture in Khartoum 2-0.
