Accra, June 28, GNA – The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman West, Mr Aquinas Quansah has been appointed Chairman of the Swimming and Life Saving Association of Ghana.
He replaces Issah Ibrahim who was named the Chairman of the association following a shake-up at the various Associations by the National Sports Council (NSC) at the week end.
A source at the NSC told the GNA Sports that the MP would be among an number of personalities to be sworn into office on Monday as a measure to revamp the various sporting associations in the country.
The shake up saw a number of personalities including Moses Foh-Amoaning, Benson Tongo Baba, Jeff Abeasi, Clifford Aboagye and Sandy Osei-Agyemang being replaced as chairmen of the Boxing, Handball, Tennis and Weightlifting Associations.
