Ghana-born Germany international Charles Takyi has signed a three-year deal to join his former club FC St Pauli in the Bundesliga II.
The 24-year-old striker played for just one season at Greuther Fuerth where he made 16 appearances and scored two goals.
He has agreed to make a return until the summer of 2012 in a 200,000 euro deal and has been his former number 13 jersey.
"I am very pleased to be back again and have my favourite jersey of FC St. Pauli to play and, of course, to the reunion with my old colleagues," Takyi said.
"I want my contribution to be great so that we can play a good season. We definitely must have a nice season."
