The draw for the group stage of the 2009 African Champions League takes place today at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football in Cairo.
Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia and Sudan's Al Merreikh are the two top seeds and will hence avoid each other in the draw.
DR Congo club TP Mazembe and Al Hilal of Sudan are in the second pot of seeds.
A third pot will have the other clubs - Nigerians Kano Pillars and Heartland, Zesco United of Zambia and Zimbabwe"s Monomotapa.
The seedings are based on past performance in continental club competitions over the past five years.
The draw for the fourth round and group stage of the Confederation Cup will also be made.
Holders CS Sfaxien of Tunisia and Egyptian giants Al Ahly are the two seeds.
Each game will pit one of the Confederation Cup third-round winners against a Champions League third round loser.
