Sekondi Eleven Wise on Sunday indicated their preparedness to stay in the Premier League when they whitewashed visiting Obuasi Ashgold 2-0 in an impressive encounter of their League match at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.
Wise who started the game on an all attacking strategy after the kick-off got their first goal in the eighth minute through James Bissue.
The early goal gingered up the Ashgold lads who fought back gamely but after about fifteen minutes later Wise again regained control as they stepped up their attack.
The Wise lads continued to move upfront as they put their opponents under sustained pressure but good old Winfred Dormon failed to utilize some clear scoring chances in the 18th, 40th and 44th minutes to the chagrin of the home supporters.
Ashgold dominated the early stages of the second half but found it difficult to find the net as Wise strengthened their defence and held the Ashgold strikers at bay.
The persistent onslaught of Wise paid dividend for them when Richard Yeboah scored the second goal in the 82nd minute to seal the doom of the 'Miners'.
Ashgold fought gamely to either redeem the goals or their reputation but they failed in their attempts as Wise continued to be on top of proceedings till the end of proceedings.
