Up and coming 10-year-old Lincoln Community School pupil, Daniel List, defied his young age to swing past the elderly competitors, to stand tall with 64 net in the Nigeria Independence Day Golf tournament, at the Achimota Golf Club last Saturday.
And for his par excellent performance, the young golfer received a return ticket to the United Kingdom, plus a giant trophy. Following closely at the heels of the young golfer was James Kally Quashie who returned 67net, beating Victor Danku on count back.
Ace golfer Mona Captan Lamptey, added to her numerous memento by emerging winner in the ladies category with a net score of 68net, while Musaka Pavelyn and Sosu Adatse followed with 69 and 73 nets in that order.
Mona also received a return ticket to the United Kingdom and a glittering trophy.
The competition was in commemoration of Nigeria's 48th Independence anniversary.
