Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies emerged the Central Region Women's soccer gala champions after a competition organised at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast on Saturday.
Ghatel Ladies beat Winneba Soccer Intellectuals 2-0 in the finals to lift the championship trophy.
Mr. Mathew Doe, Chairman of Central Region Football Association presented the trophy to the winners and commended all the Clubs for their good sportsmanship.
The gala organized by the Regional Football Association was to usher in the Regional Women's soccer league which will commence on Sunday, August 17.
Nine Clubs participated in the competition including Assin North United Ladies, Agona Abrem Super Blessing, SIMEW New Castles, Agona Abrem Dwowabo, God's Kingdom, Elmina Bafana-bafana Ladies, Foso Bentinsin Ladies and Komenda Real Maidens.
