Dorfe and Beatrice win Celebrity Medal Golf

Matthias Dorfe and Beatrice Harrington became the proud winners of this month's Celebrity Golf Club Medal Open Golf Championship played at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday.
Dorfe returned a net score of 67 to win the Men's category while Beatrice had a net score of 84, to take the only prize in the Ladies event.
The other prize in the Men's Division went to Henry Govino who returned a net score of 74.
The one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition attracted about 50 golfers.
Mr Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club, urged the members to be committed to affairs of the Club and contribute to the development of the game.
Meanwhile Tafo Golf Club defeated Celebrity Golf Club 7-1 in the return encounter of their Match Play Championship played at the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) Golf Course at Tafo in the Eastern Region on Saturday.
Douglas Tetteh, Afriyie Nyarko, Smiley Barnnerman, F. K. Oppong, Joe Daglo, Kwabena Yeboah and Kofi Yeboah won the points for Tafo while Kwasi Opoku collected the only point for Celebrity Golf Club.
