The unbeaten record of the Central Region Zone One Division Two League leaders, Nadel Ahli Rovers was smashed when they were beaten 2-I by Adisadel Great Astronomers in their Division Two League Match played at Robert Mensah Stadium on Sunday.
Astronomers' who lost 3-0 to Rovers in the first round of the League, matched their opponents boot for boot and scored the opener through a spot kick in the 44th minute through their mid-fielder, Benjamin Kudoto.
Rovers from then fought back gamely and pulled even in the 74th minute through right winger, Sanni Camel.
The game from then on became a ding- dong affair but just as all things was pointing to a draw game, inside right, Maxwell Mensah sneaked through an offside trap to score the match winner on the 89th minute mark.
Results of other league matches were Oguaa United 2 drew 2-2 with Shalom F/C, Abreshia United lost 0-1 to Jukwa Surowi United 1 while Real Republicans pipped Santos F/C 1-0.
Denkyira United beat Assin Adiembra United Stars 1-0, Great Assin North United spanked Owirenkyeman F/C 4-1, Adansi Praso WAECO F/C lost 0-1 to Dunkwa on Offin Starke, Edumfa Galaxy F/C drew 2-2 with Saltpond Kampsite.
Amosima Kingdom Stars beat Odonase Schalke 04 2-0, Mankessim Striking Force drew 1-1 with Saltpond Mighty Victory, Gomoaman Dahlin drew goalless with Agona Fankobaa , Agona Swedru Amanpong beat Agonaman F/C 2-0, Great Breman United were whipped 3-0 by Pomadze Albafos 3 while Gomoa Techiman DIAGMAFREY and Bobikuma Nana Buabeng drew goalless.
