Kwame "Abedi's brother" Ayew is set for a return to Turkish football with Kocaelispor or Galatasary after failing to hold down a place at Sporting Lisbon. The striker failed to hold down a first-team place at Sporting last season and spent the latter part of the season on-loan at Turkish side Yozgatspor.
The Galatasaray deal may be in part exchange for the Brazilian striker Mario Jardel, expected to sign a three-year contract with Sporting Lisbon later today, according to reports.
Ayew's agent, Vanio Kostov, told of the striker's desire to leave on Monday saying: "He is very unhappy, and certainly won't stay at Sporting." Sporting coach Laszlo Boloni will today meet with the club's officials to discuss the future of the Ghanian international.
