Kylian Mbappe scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season as Real Madrid beat Sevilla to remain six points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
Jose Mourinho's side broke the deadlock in the 30th minute through Arda Guler's superb strike.
Mbappe doubled Real's lead seven minutes later, rounding goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos before slotting in.
Felix Correia's volley into the ground deflected just over the crossbar as Sevilla battled to get back into the game in the second half.
But Real made sure of the win when Mbappe was brought down inside the box and the France striker stepped up to score from the penalty spot.
Mbappe's 11 goals have come in just 11 games in all competitions as his excellent start to the season continued.
Manu Bueno curled a neat finish into the bottom corner late on for Sevilla, but Yan Diomande hammered in a fine strike late on to make sure of the win for Real Madrid.
This was a crucial three points for Real Madrid as up next for them in La Liga is El Clasico at Barcelona on 25 October.
