Bibiani Gold Stars and their chief executive officer, Akwasi Adu, have been fined by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee following misconduct during a Ghana Premier League match against Hearts of Oak.
The club was found guilty of breaching matchday accreditation and access control regulations by allowing Adu to enter the inner perimeter of the playing area without authorisation.
Adu was also found to have verbally assaulted match officials during the incident.
He was subsequently charged with verbally assaulting officials and making post-match comments deemed to have brought the game into disrepute.
The committee has fined Adu GH¢10,000 and handed him a three-match ban, which takes immediate effect.
He has 14 days from notification of the decision to pay the fine.
The committee has also warned Adu that any further misconduct could result in more severe sanctions.
Gold Stars have similarly been cautioned that any repeat of such breaches could attract stiffer punishment.
The sanctions come as the GFA continues to enforce its regulations on matchday access and the conduct of club officials in the Ghana Premier League.
