Medeama SC continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season with a 3-1 victory over Heart of Lions, while Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars also recorded wins on Matchday Six.

The latest round of matches began on Saturday and concluded on Sunday, producing several notable results across the country.

At the Swedru Stadium, Swedru All Blacks stunned Asante Kotoko with a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, the hosts were awarded a late penalty when Kotoko left-back Patrick Asiedu fouled Baah Junior inside the box.

Wiafe Darkwah converted from the spot to secure all three points for All Blacks.

On Sunday, Hearts of Oak edged Port City FC 1-0 at the University of Ghana Stadium, with Frank Duku's first-half header proving decisive for the Phobians.

FC AshantiGold also claimed a narrow victory, beating FC Samartex 1-0 at the Len Clay Stadium. Raphael Ankamah converted a first-half penalty to hand the hosts the win.

Bechem United produced one of the weekend's most entertaining performances, coming from behind to defeat Vision FC 4-2 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Emmanuel Kobi opened the scoring for Bechem United in the 39th minute as the hosts went into the break with a 1-0 advantage.

Vision FC responded immediately after the restart, with Benjamin Kwarteng equalising two minutes into the second half before Ruben Quaye put the visitors ahead in the 51st minute.

Yaw Acheampong restored parity for the Hunters in the 62nd minute, while Kofi Tompuo struck in the 87th minute to put the hosts back in front.

An own goal by a Vision FC player deep into stoppage time completed the scoring and sealed an important victory for Bechem United.

Berekum Chelsea recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Debibi United at the Golden City Park.

Stephen Kwakye gave the hosts the lead seven minutes before half-time, before Dramani Awuah doubled their advantage in the 71st minute.

Emmanuel Ofosu then completed the scoring in the 92nd minute to cap a comfortable afternoon for Chelsea.

Bibiani Gold Stars returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars at DUN's Park.

Kwame Opoku scored in both halves to secure maximum points for the home side.

At the Aliu Mahama Stadium, Karela United compounded Dreams FC's struggles with a 1-0 win. Malik Abubakar scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute.

Defending champions Medeama continued their strong run at the TNA Stadium, beating Heart of Lions 3-1.

Emmanuel Annor broke the deadlock in the 28th minute to give the Yellow and Mauve side a half-time lead.

Medeama strengthened their advantage after the break, with Kingsley Braye scoring twice in quick succession in the 64th and 66th minutes.

Komi Mawutodzi Agbadji scored a late consolation for Heart of Lions deep into stoppage time, but it was not enough to prevent defeat.

Young Apostles also secured a valuable three points, defeating Aduana FC 1-0 at the Wenchi Stadium.

Samuel Prempeh converted a first-half penalty to earn the hosts a hard-fought victory.

At the conclusion of Matchday Six, Medeama SC, FC Samartex, Hearts of Oak and Port City FC occupied the top four positions in the league standings.

Young Apostles, Debibi United and Dreams FC were in the relegation zone as the competition continued to gather momentum.
