Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw by struggling Dreams FC as both sides missed chances in an entertaining Ghana Premier League encounter at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The Phobians created opportunities but were unable to find the breakthrough against a Dreams side still searching for its first win of the season.
Dreams came closest to opening the scoring in the first half when Mohammed Shaban played a well-weighted pass into the path of Razak, but the forward failed to make the crucial connection.
Hearts responded with chances of their own, only to be denied by Dreams goalkeeper Rahman Osman, who made an important save to keep the score level.
The game remained open after the break, with both teams continuing to search for a winning goal, but neither side could produce the decisive finish.
The result moves Hearts of Oak up to fourth place with eight points from five matches. However, the Phobians have now failed to score in their last three league games.
For Dreams FC, the point does little to improve their position at the bottom of the table. They have just two points from five matches and remain without a victory this season.
- Vision FC held by Gold Stars
Vision FC also had to settle for a point after being held to a goalless draw by Gold Stars SC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
The Tema-based side were hoping to build on their 1-1 away draw against Berekum Chelsea, but struggled to break down a disciplined Gold Stars defence.
Vision were also looking to respond after suffering a 2-0 home defeat to newly promoted Port City FC last weekend, but could not find a way to claim all three points.
The draw leaves Vision FC ninth in the Premier League standings, while Gold Stars remain in the relegation zone after another difficult outing.
With both matches ending 0-0, Saturday's results offered little movement at either end of the table, while Hearts of Oak will feel they missed an opportunity to strengthen their position near the top.
The ret of the Matchday Five games will continue later today at the various stadia.
