Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has emerged as a potential transfer target for Cypriot side APOEL, with the club weighing up a move for the experienced forward as it looks to strengthen its attack.
The 34-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Leicester City when his contract expired, making him available on a free transfer.
According to Cypriot outlet Protathlima, APOEL head coach Nikos Papadopoulos and sporting director Zisis Vryzas will make the final decision on whether to pursue the Ghana international.
A switch to Cyprus would add another chapter to Ayew's lengthy European career, which has included spells with Marseille, Lorient, Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Leicester City.
Ayew has been one of Ghana's most influential players for more than a decade and remains among the Black Stars' most experienced active internationals.
Since Ghana's exit to Colombia in the round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ayew has stayed active by training with Nania FC and taking part in community football matches in Ghana.
No agreement has been reached, however, with APOEL continuing to assess its attacking options before deciding whether to make a formal move for the veteran forward.
