CANAL+ has confirmed that the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 (WAFCON) will be broadcast live on SuperSport across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Africa’s biggest women’s football tournament takes place from 26 July to 16 August 2026, having been rescheduled from March, and will be hosted across five venues in Rabat and Casablanca.
All 34 matches of the tournament will be available to Access customers on DStv, DStv Stream and Plus customers on GOtv & GOtv Stream, meaning more people will be able to enjoy the celebration of African women’s football. In South Africa, the SuperSport channels are supplied by CANAL+ Africa to the licence holder, MultiChoice (Pty) LTD, which provides the DStv offering to subscribers.
The 2026 CAF WAFCON edition is the biggest in terms of participating African nations, having been expanded by the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) from 12 to 16 teams. The tournament also doubles as a CAF qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup held in Brazil, with the semi-finalists qualifying directly and two finalists advancing to a qualifying playoff tournament.
