Senegal midfielder Pape Gueye has said he will not play for his country again unless head coach Pape Thiaw is removed from his role.
Gueye made the comments after Senegal were eliminated from the 2026 World Cup by Belgium.
The 27-year-old posted his reaction on social media shortly after the match.
He wrote: “l’Il be back to give you a few words regarding elimination… but I announce today that as long as it’s this technical staff, I’ll take a break from the selection.”
Senegal were close to reaching the Round of 16 after going two goals ahead.
But Belgium came back with two late goals to take the match into extra time, before Youri Tielemans scored a penalty that sent the African side out.
