President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has urged the Black Starlets to remain disciplined and fully focused as they prepare for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Ghana will compete in Group D of the tournament, where they will face tough opposition from Algeria, Senegal and South Africa.
Speaking to the team before their departure to North Africa, Okraku commended the technical staff for their preparation work and encouraged the players to stay united and trust the process.
“The technical team has done its part, and I trust their guidance. Listen to them, stay disciplined, and play for each other. Success will follow if you remain focused and united," he told the players.
The Black Starlets head into the competition on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mali in a preparatory friendly on Saturday, a result that offered key lessons ahead of the continental challenge.
Ghana will open their AFCON campaign on May 14, with hopes of making a strong statement in a highly competitive group stage.
