Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams has expressed his delight after receiving his first-ever call-up to the Ghana national team, describing it as a major breakthrough in his career.
The in-form midfielder has been named in Ghana’s 23-man squad for the upcoming international friendly against Mexico later this month, a reward for his impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League this season.
Adams, who has been a standout performer for Medeama SC, shared his excitement shortly after his side’s 2-1 defeat to Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.
“I feel very excited about getting a Black Stars call-up,” he told 3Sports.
“It’s a huge step for me, and it motivates me to keep pushing harder. I’m hoping to achieve more and earn opportunities beyond here," Adams added.
The midfielder has been one of Medeama’s key figures this season, contributing significantly with 11 league goals as the club continues its push for the title.
