Black Stars midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has praised teammate Thomas Partey, describing the Ghana international as an “amazing” talent.
Kyereh, who shared the pitch with Partey during Ghana’s campaigns at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, says his admiration for the midfielder grew even stronger after joining the national team setup.
Speaking to Joy Sports as he reflected on his career and time with the Black Stars, the Freiburg player admitted Partey exceeded his expectations once they began training together.
"It’s a pleasure to play with him (Thomas Partey)," he said.
"I always saw him as a really good player on television before I met him in the national team, but when I was training with him, I saw his quality from another angle, and he’s so good.
"What a player?! What an amazing player!" he added.
Kyereh, 30, is currently working his way back to full fitness following a long-term injury. He has been featuring for Freiburg’s U23 side as he builds match sharpness in a bid to return to first-team action.
