Ghana international Brandon Thomas-Asante found the net as Coventry City sealed the English Championship title with a commanding 3-1 victory over Wrexham A.F.C. on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas-Asante was handed a starting role in Coventry’s Matchday 45 clash at the Coventry Building Society Arena, as the hosts capped off an already successful campaign in style.

Having secured promotion to the Premier League prior to the encounter, Coventry showed no signs of easing off.

The home side asserted their dominance early, breaking the deadlock in the 19th minute through Thomas-Asante.

The forward finished off a well-crafted move, meeting a precise delivery from Ephron Mason-Clark at the far post after expertly timing his run.

Wrexham, still battling for a playoff place, responded with urgency and were rewarded shortly after. Oliver Rathbone restored parity just six minutes later, ensuring both sides went into the break level.

After halftime, Coventry reasserted control and showed greater sharpness in the closing stages.

Goals from Victor Torp and Mason-Clark inside the final ten minutes put the result beyond doubt, handing the hosts all three points and the title.

Thomas-Asante’s latest contribution adds further weight to his growing credentials ahead of Ghana’s squad selection for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The striker has been instrumental throughout the season, playing a pivotal role in Coventry’s promotion-winning campaign.
