The Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Wilson Arthur, has disclosed the prize package awaiting the winner of this year’s MTN FA Cup.
The competition returns this weekend with the remaining clubs battling for places in the semi-finals as the tournament reaches the quarter-final stage.
Matches will be hosted at the Cape Coast Stadium and the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Speaking ahead of the fixtures, Arthur revealed that the eventual champions will receive GH₵80,000 as prize money, in addition to a GH₵100,000 support package to aid preparations for continental competition.
“The winner of the MTN FA Cup final will receive GH₵100,000 for preparation for Africa apart from the GH₵80,000 prize money and a share of the final gate proceeds,” Mr Arthur told Asempa FM.
In the quarter-final ties, Aduana FC will take on Techiman Liberty FC on Saturday. On Sunday, Nations FC will face Berekum Chelsea at the Cape Coast Stadium.
At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Medeama SC will clash with Attram De Visser Soccer Academy, while Dreams FC go up against Heart of Lions.
The winner of the competition will earn the right to represent Ghana in the 2026/27 edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.
