Belgian Pro League side RAAL La Louvière have strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru during the winter transfer window.
The 28-year-old joins from RSC Anderlecht, where he had fallen out of favour with the first team.
RAAL confirmed the move on their official website, describing Ashimeru as their fourth winter acquisition: ''RAAL has secured its fourth winter signing! Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru (28 years old) joins us on loan for the next six months."
A product of WAFA SC’s academy, Ashimeru developed further at Red Bull Salzburg before moving to Switzerland’s FC Sankt-Gallen and eventually Anderlecht in 2021.
During his time in Brussels, he made 129 first-team appearances, netting nine goals and providing six assists. He has also been capped 12 times by the Ghanaian national team.
RAAL’s management highlighted that Ashimeru’s experience and technical ability will be crucial as the club fights to maintain its Pro League status.
For the midfielder, the move offers a chance to regain form, sharpen his skills, and reassert his position in Ghana’s midfield ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With the global tournament approaching, Ashimeru will be eager to impress and secure his place on the world stage this summer.
