The five remaining housemates in the MTN Sports Academy have stepped up their preparation for the final drills in the hope of winning the ultimate prize in the first soccer reality show on Metro TV, which reaches a climax on November 10.
Following the evicton last Sunday of Ralph Rasheed Inusah, the 'Famous Five' — Gideon Baah, Collins Akowuah, Munir Zaid, Ompong Kwame Oti and Bismark Amponsah — are putting their best feet forward in order to claim the top prize of a brand new Hyundai Accent car, GH¢5,000 (¢50 million), automatic qualification into premiership club, Zaytuna United FC, and a two-week trial with a top European side and a possibility of a permanent contract with the club.
The prize package includes a fully-paid trip to watch th 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Just as the five housemates are working hard to win, so too are the organisers planning to put together a never-to-be-forgotten show, dubbed 'November to Remember', an electrifying atmosphere of football, music, comedy and fashion at the Academy house at Ridge.
The invasion of the Academy house by hundreds of fans of both sexes at each eviction show suggests that the grand finale on November 10 would attract a massive turnout, including high profile personalities from the sports and showbiz world and a representative from the European club to host the winner.
On Sunday, tickets for the final show will soon be on sale to the general public, with the penultimate, eviction-free show coming of on Sunday where the MTN Academy housemates play the Fabulous team, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, in an exhibition five-a-side game.
