Black Stars: Otto Addo visits injured Ernest Nuamah in France

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has visited injured winger Ernest Nuamah in France as Ghana step up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Olympique Lyon forward is currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury he suffered in April 2025 during a Ligue 1 fixture against Lille.

His rehabilitation has progressed positively in recent weeks, with Nuamah already resuming gym-based training and edging closer to a return to on-field action.

During the visit, Addo held discussions with the highly rated attacker, outlining Ghana’s World Cup ambitions while offering personal encouragement as he continues his recovery.

The national team coach has been keen to maintain direct contact with key members of the squad, especially players returning from injury, as planning intensifies ahead of the global showpiece.

Despite the injury setback, Nuamah has played a significant role in Ghana’s qualification campaign, making five appearances and scoring twice.

Addo has adopted a hands-on approach in recent months, also paying visits to Abdul Mumin, Mohammed Kudus and other members of the Black Stars setup.
