Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has lauded his squad following a commanding 6-0 victory over Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, during Matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors were unstoppable, with striker Morifing Donzo scoring twice, while Samba O’Neil, Kwame Opoku, Hubert Gyau, and Johnson Owusu Oppong each added their names to the scoresheet.
The result marks Kotoko’s third consecutive win after triumphs over Dreams FC and Eleven Wonders.
Speaking to TV3 after the match, Karim Zito expressed delight at seeing his forwards back in full form.
“I am very happy we won. I’m very happy for the boys. It tells you that they [the strikers] have been taking their practice very seriously, so I think it manifested in the game today, and I’m very happy for them,” Karim Zito said.
The victory lifts Asante Kotoko to the top of the league standings.
